VAJRAKILA TEACHINGS

Vajrakila Retreat with Martin Boord 22.-24. Februar 2008 in Lahr, Germany – Ngakpa Rangshar Ling - www.tibet-lahr.de

During the course of the weekend we will look at the nature of the kila, analysing its different types, functions and modes of employment.  Then we will study and practise the method of setting up the three mandalas: the dharmakaya mandala, the sambhogakaya mandala, and the nirmanakaya mandala.  Participants with a sincere interest in this profound method of bringing benefit to the world should attend the retreat with deep devotion and altruistic intention.

In order to participate in this training, participants must have received Buddhist Refuge and Bodhisattva vows, an empowerment of Vajrakila from a qualified lineage holder, and have firm faith in Padmasambhava and his lineage.  Ideally, all participants should have some awareness of the rules of retreat and experience of intensive mantra recitation. Throughout the weekend, participants are asked to avoid all mundane distractions such as idle chatter, shopping, tourist visits, internet access, mobile phones, and so on. This training is conducted in the traditional way, with no compromises, and participants are expected to abide by the samaya of tantric retreat and code of behaviour.  Students must examine their motivation and be sure that their ultimate aim is to use this practice for spiritual and not worldly ends. They must be free from any hope of using this training as a path to fame, wealth, or personal gain.  If used with correct motivation, this practice is a most powerful method for the attainment of enlightenment as a means of service to others.  Sarva mangalam.

With all best wishes.

Yours,

Martin
